TERRENCE HIGGINS TRUST

A VERY SPECIAL COMMISSION FOR THE TERRENCE HIGGINS 2014 AUCTION

I was very honoured to be approached by the Terrence Higgins Trust to create a unique kirigami model to be sold as part of The Auction 2014 at Christies in March 2014.

Soho Uncut is cut from a single sheet of paper and displayed within a beautifully constructed acrylic light box. I donated 5 days of my time to design and cut the work. The piece is a nod to the infamous streets of Soho. It represents the good, the bad and the reality. Ultimately I hope it reflects freedom, progress and plain old fun SAFE sexy times.

SOHO UNCUT SOLD TO AN ABSENTEE BIDDER FOR £19,000

Soho Uncut sold to an absentee bidder for £19,000 making it the highest selling lot. Every penny of that sale goes to Terrence Higgins Trust to support their vital causes.

Information taken from the THT site – “Sponsored by Prudential plc, The Auction 2014 is set to be an extravaganza like no other. Money-can’t-buy experiences, high-end couture, luxury holidays, exclusive artworks and celebrity capers take centre stage at Christie’s auction house, with the sale being presided over by auctioneer extraordinaire Jussi Pylkkänen – President & Chairman of Christie’s Europe, Middle East, Russia & India.”
